Following on from the earlier story The Ukrainian Parliament has overwhelmingly voted for Martial Law to be implemented in the country for the next 30 days, ahead of a possible war.
The airforce will be strengthened and there will be “mobilisiation”. It is not clear exactly yet how drastic the measures are but will focus on anti terrorism & information security
“We consider it as an act of aggression against our state and a very serious threat,” the Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko said.
“Unfortunately, there are no ‘red lines’ for the Russian Federation.”
Nato Secretary General, Jena Stoltenberg expressed the US-led military alliance’s “full support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, including its full navigational rights in its territorial waters under international law”.
The already fragile relationship between the two countries is set to be tested further in the month with many people thinking it will develop into a war.
